Our Team

Jim F. Cox

Mr. Cox joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in 1985. His duties include Estimator, Project Manager and Project Engineer. He was elected to the office of Vice President in 1989, Senior Vice President in 1994, and President of Walker & Whiteside, Inc in August of 1997. Mr. Cox received his BSEE from Clemson University in 1985 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Virginia, Mississippi, Arkansas and Florida. He holds a Master Electrician Card for the State of South Carolina and Unlimited Electrical Licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. He has design experience in all types of design build projects which includes but is not limited to: textile manufacturing, distribution facilities, LEED certified office and research lab facilities, warehousing, Utility Peak Shavings and Standby Generation Plants 1,500 to 12,000 KW. He has supervised electrical construction projects ranging from office renovations to chemical process lines.

Terry L. Rogers

Mr. Rogers joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in 1983. He has served as an Estimator, Project Manager and Designer during this time. He was elected Vice President in 1989. Prior to joining Walker & Whiteside, Inc., he was an electrical field inspector with Sirrine Services Construction Management Group. He has managed projects involving new industrial plant construction, renovations, machinery installations, plant maintenance and currently manages the construction and design for our airfield lighting group.

Benjamin Betsill

Mr. Betsill joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in July 1998. He graduated from Presbyterian College in 1994 with a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Administration. He graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 1995 with a Masters in Taxation. He worked for Ernst & Young, LLP from December 1995 to June 1998. During this time, he prepared corporate and partnership tax returns. He also received his CPA Certificate in 1998 and he holds a Master's Electrician Card for the State of South Carolina. He is currently a Project Manager for our airfield lighting group and also functions as the Secretary of Walker & Whiteside, Inc. 

Elijah Murphy

Mr. Murphy joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. as an Electrician's Helper in 1995. In September of 1997, he began functioning as an Estimator, CAD Operator, Project Manager and Electrical Designer. Mr. Murphy obtained his BSEE from Clemson University in 2002 as well as an Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies from Greenville Tech in 1998. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina and he also holds a journeyman electrician's license for the state of South Carolina. His experience includes: power and lighting design for design build projects, control wiring for conveyors, paint systems, refrigeration systems, back-up power systems and airfield lighting.

Karl Plessinger

Mr. Plessinger started his career in the electrical field in 1994 as an Electrician Helper. He worked his way up in the field becoming a supervisor in 5 years. Since 2006, when he joined the Walker & Whiteside team, he has served as a project manager and estimator. He has spent most of his career constructing, estimating, and designing industrial and commercial electrical projects involving power distribution, controls, machinery installation and industrial maintenance.

Andy Davis

Mr. Davis joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in 2012 after accumulated over 30 years of electrical experience. He began his career as an electrical helper, moving forward as a supervisor earning a wide variety of electrical experience, from multi-family to 15KV construction. Mr. Davis has also accumulated experience in project management and estimating and also has a substantial background in material management. Mr. Davis currently serves as a project manager and estimator and is also the safety director at Walker & Whiteside, Inc.

Ronny Gillespie

Mr. Gillespie is a 1984 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a business education degree.  He has been in the electrical field since 1988.  He joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in 2012 and currently functions as a project manager and estimator.  Mr. Gillespie holds his Master Electrician's license in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.  He also has a low voltage license in Georgia as well as a Lightning Protection license.  He has spent most of his career doing small to medium sized commercial projects with an emphasis on the retail and restaurant markets.

Ann Looney

Mrs. Looney joined Walker & Whiteside, Inc. in 1985 as project estimator. During her time, she has also served as a project manager, secretary of the company and as a CAD operator. She is currently serving the company in the capacity of project estimator and designer. Mrs. Looney has been in the electrical field since 1985.

Pam Grubbs

Mrs. Grubbs joined Walker & Whiteside Inc. in 2010 after 20 years of management in the commercial credit and collections industry and is diversified in her skill set. She currently manages accounts payable, job cost reporting, bid package preparation at Walker & Whiteside, as well as handling the majority of office maintenance tasks including, plotting, phone, and computer maintenance. 

Karen Gray

Mrs. Gray joined Walker & Whiteside Inc. in 2012 having served in the accounting field for over 30 years.  She is competent in all aspects of the accounting field allowing her to perform the responsibilities of payroll, benefits, accounts receivable and financial reporting with the utmost integrity for Walker & Whiteside.

Christopher Purcell

Mr. Purcell started his career in the electrical industry in 1996 as an electrician’s helper in Orlando FL. He moved up through the ranks in the trade earning a certificate from F.E.A.T. (Florida Electrical Apprenticeship Training) at Mid Florida Tech and received his Journeyman electrician license in 2002. He joined Walker & Whiteside in 2006 as an electrical Superintendent and now serves as an Estimator/ Project Manager. Over his 20+ year history in the electrical construction industry, he has become experienced in: remodeling, build out, commercial, heavy/light industrial work ranging from small offices, Churches, performing arts theaters, amusement parks, warehouses, and production facilities.     

Caleb Cox

Mr. Cox joined Walker & Whiteside in 2015 after graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He passed his PE examination in 2015 and is currently gaining experience to become a licensed Professional Engineer. He is presently serving the company as an assistant Project Manager and Estimator. In addition, he is working out in the field on various jobsites in order to gain invaluable hands-on experience installing electrical devices and equipment, as well as gaining 3D BIM design experience in Revit.
